  • Yes! Palapa Tours departs from 319 Queens Quay W at the East Corner of HTO Park.

    We cruise for 90 minutes! Pick up and drop off are from the same place

  • Each boat is equipped with 12 bar seats, a TV, a Sound System, a fully functioning washroom & on-board WiFi.

    Palapa Boats are 20 feet wide X 20 feet long, hexagonal in shape, with a beautiful handcrafted wooden bar, and a thatched roof! This space is welcoming, fun, and guaranteed to please! Tiki Vibes only!

    Average speed is 4-6 nautical miles per hour. 

  • So long as conditions are safe we will sail rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather. In cases of inclement weather (i.e. storms) we may postpone the cruise. You will be notified in advance whenever possible.

  • As long as another tour is not schedule next, then we encourage extending your tour, please speak to your staff for Tour Extension Rates.

Sailing

  • Unfortunately the vessels are not accessible at this time, although we are working on it!

  • Pets are permitted aboard our ship for private charters, and they must wear a lifejacket at all times.

    Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are always welcome for public and private charters.

  • Our ships are outfitted with a lifejacket for everyone. As our vessels are high stability pontoon boats, the sail is very smooth and does not necessitate wearing a lifejacket or PFD while on board. However the water in the can get choppy at times.

  • Yes, children are welcome but must wear a lifejacket at all times. Each child counts as a passenger toward the boat’s capacity.

    Palapa Tours is equipped with Children’s Life Jackets but it is best to bring your own that fits your child.

  • Municipal by-law prohibits the smoking and vaping of tobacco, cannabis, and any other substance in public places and workplaces including our Tiki Boats. 

  • You are responsible for staying under control and abiding by our behavioral agreement. If the Captain determines your behavior is inappropriate you will be removed from the tour without refund and appropriate measures will be taken.

      • Private Charters can select their own music

  • If you book an entire Private Charter, then yes, the boat is private!

    With individual tickets, you will be with other guests.

    The maximum capacity per boat is 12 persons.

    Private parties or corporate events can have up to 24 people on our two boats!

  • When should I arrive?
    Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time to check-in.

    Is there a bar onboard?
    Yes! We are a fully licensed bar, offering a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    How do I pay for drinks?
    All purchases onboard are cashless—we accept credit and debit cards.

    Can I bring my own food?
    Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own food. We also have snacks available for purchase onboard.

  • We recommend bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, and a hat for sun protection. Depending on the weather, a light jacket, long-sleeved shirt, or cover-up may be useful.

  • Yes! There is a bathroom on board, please #1’s only.

  • The choice between Individual Tickets and a Private Charter depends on the experience you're looking for:

    Individual Tickets – Great for smaller groups or solo guests looking to meet new people and enjoy the tiki boat experience in a shared setting. You'll still get the same tropical vibes, scenic views, and onboard bar service, just alongside other guests.

    Private Charter – Booking a private charter means you’ll have the entire boat to yourself, allowing for a customized experience with your choice of music, guest list, and exclusive use of the boat’s amenities.

  • There is an 18% auto-grat on each bill.

    If the crew goes above and beyond, show them with additional gratuity!

Palapa Experience

  • Palapa Tours requires a minimum of 4 passengers to set sail. If your group is smaller (1-3 people), you’re still welcome to make a reservation, but it won’t be confirmed until additional bookings are made. Please note, this policy does not apply to Private Charters.

    Bookings are Final Sale, We reserve the right to raincheck your cruise and reschedule your tickets as required.

    Refunds are not possible unless Trip Protection was purchased, and then you can cancel up to 48 hours in advance of your tour.

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are only acceptable with Trip Protection purchase, otherwise, we will reschedule your booking to another date!

    Inclement Weather: In the event of a same-day cancellation due to inclement weather, rest assured you'll have the option to reschedule or receive a credit. Please note that Palapa Tours solely determines weather-related cancellations.

  • With Trip Protection, you can cancel or reschedule your Palapa Experience for any reason up to 48 hours before the tour's start, offering reimbursement for the full ticket/charter amount (including HST), less the cost of Trip Protection and processing fees.

    Trip Protection is available at check-out.

  • Any tickets that have been paid for cannot be removed.

    You can add tickets up until the time of your Tour as long as the maximum number of guests has not been reached.
