Palapa Tours is looking for an energetic and highly organized manager to oversee the daily operations and facilities of the company. This role is for highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills and experience in customer service. This is an on-site position with some opportunity to work from home. It will help if you like boating, outdoors, and being on the water.

Position Overview
We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and highly organized Full-Time Operations Manager to lead day-to-day business operations and help grow the company. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys hospitality, team management, problem solving, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
Oversee daily tours, bookings, dock operations, and service execution
Ensure exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure
Resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently
Support private charters, corporate bookings, and special events
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards of vessels and dock areas
Team Leadership
Build and manage weekly staff schedules
Lead captains, bartenders, dock staff, and seasonal team members
Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training staff
Step into operational gaps when required during emergencies or call-outs
Build a fun, accountable, high-performance culture
Administration & Payroll
Process payroll and track staff hours
Manage reservations systems, waivers, email inquiries, and daily admin work
Prepare reports for ownership on staffing, sales, and operations
Maintain organized records and internal systems
Inventory & Supplies
Manage beverage, snack, merchandise, and operational inventory
Coordinate re-orders, deliveries, and supplier communication
Control waste, shrinkage, and operating costs
Qualifications
Previous management, supervisor, or operations experience in hospitality, tourism, events, or service industry preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Highly organized with strong time-management ability
Comfortable working outdoors and in a fast-paced seasonal environment
Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
Experience with Google Workspace, scheduling tools, POS, or booking software is an asset
Boat or bartending experience is an asset, but not required
Smart Serve certification preferred
